Allegedly, I drank on Christmas. I can’t say whether or not these allegations are true, but I’d like to say that I celebrate the holidays only in appropriate ways. After all, Santa came across the Atlantic, founded this land, cut his hair, put on a tie, and sold us greasy fried chicken at reasonable prices. I believe in you Santa.

Christmas night almost became a giant letdown. Eric wasn’t answering his phone and the partying was supposed to happen at his house, but at the last minute we decided to crash his house. He was cool with it and it turned from a night of going home to getting about 15 people playing beer pong, baseball (drinking game), and celebrating the holidays right. I have to say that Team No Dot (as opposed to Team Dot) had a few handicaps that should have been factored in. Whatever, I didn’t care and I ended up really drunk on Rum and Gingerale, thanks to an Aussie suggestion from a few weeks ago.

Christmas day was standard Christmas day. Josh and his brother Kris came over to my house after dinner and I decided that we needed to take a shot to celebrate this holiest of days. We had all of the ingredients for a White Russian (which I definitely had not been drinking all week) and I wanted to do a shot with Bacardi 151 in it, so the White 51 was born. This drink is amazing. It tastes almost exactly like a White Russian and it gets you drunk faster. Double win. I am moving this way up my list, not quite past the original, but definitely as a warmer substitute. I think I found gold here.

Ingredients

2 Parts: Milk
1 Part: Kahlua® Coffee Liqueur
1 Part: Bacardi® 151 Rum

Instructions

Mix everything in a shaker with ice, pour entire contents into glass. If you’re making a shot, obviously strain the liquid into the glass so you aren’t shooting ice (not fun). Get drunk twice as fast as those White Russian kids.
